Accelerated Healing Hypnosis and NLP

“Neuro-Linguistic Programming commonly abbreviated to NLP is a continually evolving methodology which seeks to model human excellence, because anything that can be modeled can be successfully emulated."

NLP - Neuro-Linguistic Programming is now becoming more recognized generally, as a powerful and advanced form of hypnosis-based therapy. And in the hands of a well-trained and skillful practitioner it is an extremely effective and dynamic tool-kit of almost magical, transformational techniques.

NLP is really used to very great effect in the treatment and eradication of phobias, and for enhanced personal effectiveness and optimal development.

NLP is also extremely effective when applied in a business context, in helping to establish communication and rapport, as well as in the improvement of performance in business, sport and many other activities. Using NLP in conjunction with Hypnosis is incredibly effective. There is a tremendous synergy in using the techniques complementarily. Indeed the effectiveness of this combination exceeds the sum of the two participating technologies.

So what exactly is NLP?

Let us use the analogy of a computer, just like the one you are using to see this webpage. Computers are made up of electronic circuits based mainly on chips such as microprocessors, memories and some other types. This is the hardware, and the various components are hard-wired together so as to operate with the aid of an operating system, which is a piece of software. Functionally, the human brain is somewhat similar to a computer. Your brain and mine are hard-wired in broadly similar ways. The software that drives our brains is also similar, give or take a few differences. NLP - Neuro-Linguistic Programming- is a way of "tweaking" this software so as to bring about positive changes in the functioning of the brain and so consequently, behaviour and the personality.

How does NLP bring about positive changes?

Let us go back to the analogy of computer software. A computer stores its experiences or data in the form of numbers a "1" or a "0". The human brain, which is far more sophisticated than a computer, can store its experiences as internal representations (IntReps) of its sensory modalities. These sensory modalities are basically.
Visual - seeing
Auditory - hearing
Kinaesthetic - feeling
Olfactory- smell
Gustatory - taste

As you can see, these relate to the five senses. The mind can even codify sequential events or experiences along an internal representation system known as a "timeline". What this means is that any experience that you have undergone or even one that you can imagine is represented internally by your brain in terms of one or more of the sensory modalities, and depending upon your own predicates. Using NLP we can access these internal representations through a light trance. And by using sophisticated techniques we can enhance or negate them, with a view to bringing about a positive outcome or improvement.

How quickly can NLP bring about positive changes?

One of the wonderful things about NLP is the ability to bring about rapid change. I have seen phobias such as the fear of birds, spiders and snakes negated and controlled within minutes. Some cures such as smoking addiction can also be tackled speedily and effectively. Others can take longer depending upon the root causes. Self-confidence and self-worth can be boosted rapidly. For this sort of condition, once a foundation of confidence has been built up confidence levels can then be escalated by a process of steady consolidation. Processes- such as performance optimizations for individual, business or sport-orientated needs- can also be put into place quite rapidly, once certain learned behaviours and strategies are successfully assimilated and executed.

How easy will it be for NLP to help me to achieve my objectives?

The NLP process is relatively straightforward. In the initial stages of the consultation, we will work together to illicit your primary internal representational predicates (IRPs), as well as the secondary and tertiary. Then I analyze your IntReps for various significant events or situations. I also establish your timeline representation. The next step is optimizations and/or negation of the IntReps, as appropriate and necessary. This may be done in a near waking state (a light trance state) or even in a moderate to deep trance state depending upon an assessment of your abilities to access and operate on your IntReps. Once the improvement and refinement process is set in place you move progressively towards your goals. Subsequent consultations, if needed in your case, will be used to make suitable adjustments to ensure a positive outcome.

And what about Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness. This is attained simply, safely and effectively using a variety of techniques. We will work together to conduct you into a trance state. Contrary to popular belief, this can be a state of heightened awareness. You do not lose your control. The trance state allows us to bypass the critical filter of your conscious mind, thereby accessing and communicating directly with your powerful subconscious mind. The critical filter of your conscious mind - which can sometimes work against you, infusing you with negativity and self-doubt and preventing you from achieving your goals and objectives - can be bypassed using the powerful principles of hypnosis. This allows us to directly access your subconscious. The subconscious is very literal and accepting. Therefore, any positive suggestions fed into the subconscious are accepted literally and then acted upon and realized. Hence positive suggestions become accepted beliefs...

"What exactly is Hypnosis? Does it really exist? Is it a figment of the mind?”

These questions have been asked many, many times, by both qualified scientists as well as by the layman.

The word “Hypnosis” is derived from the Greek word for “sleep”- Hypnos. This is not a strictly accurate description of the hypnotic state. Because unlike sleep - a state of general "unconsciousness", Hypnosis may be described as a state of altered consciousness - indeed a state of "heightened consciousness" or even "enhanced awareness" in some of its manifestations.

Hypnosis allows us to directly access and communicate with the "Unconscious Mind."

So really, Hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness. This state may be attained-simply, safely and effectively- by using a variety of specialized techniques. I can work together with you, conducting you into a state of hypnotic trance. Contrary to popular belief, "You do not lose your control..." - as a trance can be a state of heightened awareness. This keeps the "Conscious Mind" occupied. A bit like a burglar giving a fierce guard dog a juicy bone to gnaw on. The trance state allows us to sneak past the "Gatekeeper to your Subconscious" - the Conscious Mind - your mental guard dog. The Conscious Mind acts as a "critical filter" for any external information, before it reaches your powerful, but trusting, "Unconscious Mind". 20% of what we see through our eyes is real. The other 80% is put through "filters" in our conscious mind. This intern gives us our reality.

Bypassing the critical filter of your conscious mind allows me to access and communicate directly with your powerful "Unconscious", popularly referred to as the "Subconscious Mind". The Conscious Mind, which, as mentioned before, acts as a "critical filter" - can sometimes work against you and your own interests, by infusing you with negativity and self-doubt and preventing you from achieving your cherished goals & objectives. It can be bypassed using the powerful principles of Hypnosis. This allows us to directly access your subconscious. The subconscious is very "literal" and "accepting", almost childlike in its innocence. It needs the "Gatekeeper" conscious mind to protect it.

Therefore any positive suggestions fed directly into the Unconscious, without conscious filtering, are accepted quite literally and then acted upon and realized. Hence positive suggestions can now become accepted beliefs. These newly accepted beliefs may- if biologically possible- then be "actualized" by the unconscious.
